Helps Ministry

Helps Ministry – Overview:

  • WHY – To ensure that TPHDIM has an operational format via the Helps Ministry. The Bible states: “let all things be done decently and in order.” (1 Corinthians 14:40). These guidelines are intended to bring order, clarity and focus. The Bible also states that God has set some in the church, including helps. (1 Corinthians 12:28).
  •  WHO – To participate in the Helps Ministry the following minimum requirements should be met.
  •  Be an active, faithful member of the church.
  •  Maintain a Godly character and lifestyle.
  •  Attend required training and meetings.
  •  Be teachable, submissive to church authority, and willing to obey instructions.
  •  WHAT – The motivating factor of the Helps Ministry is LOVE. (I Corinthians 13:1-8). The Helps Ministry is responsible for carrying out tasks as assigned by our leadership.

Our PURPOSE: Freeing the Hands of God’s Servants

The purpose of the Helps Ministry is to free the hands of our leaders to do the work that God has called them to do. In Acts chapter six, we read that a controversy had sprung up in the early church concerning the daily ministration of food to the elderly and widows. When the matter was brought to the apostles, they replied…
“It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word.”
Acts 6:2-4

Our MISSION: Serving God Through Serving Others

The mission of the Helps Ministry is to serve God through serving others while being a “practical aid and support” to our Bishop and by promoting his vision in the local church.

And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.
1 Corinthians 12:28

Our VISION: To Work, Share and Participate Together with Bishop As One Body

The vision of the Helps Ministry is to work, share and participate together with Bishop as one body. To assist him in carrying out his God-given vision in spreading the Gospel, including the eternal salvation, divine healing and health, the full operation of the gifts of the Spirit, as well as spiritual and earthly prosperity.
…“for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ: till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.”

Ephesians 4:12- 13
